Fantastic Guest House in Beautiful Countryside -
A truly wonderful place to stay - a historic farmhouse and working farm (with lovely lambs), well-appointed bedrooms, everything spotlessly clean, a warm welcome and a beautiful breakfast to start the day. My wife and I agree that this is one of the best places that we\'ve been fortunate enough to stay at.

Lovely B&B -
I stayed at Hundalee House for 1 night whilst travelling back to Yorkshire from Scotland. The house is a lovely historic building dating back to 1667 with many period features. The rooms were well decorated, clean and well prepared with lovely linen, towels and dressing gowns. There was tea/coffee biscuits etc. in the room. The owner (Sheila) was very welcoming and made a fantastic breakfast. Overall a very nice place to stay. If you need an evening meal and don\'t want to drive into town, a taxi will cost about five pounds each way. I will definitely visit again
Thank you Shaun for your great review, it was great to meet you all, if you are ever this way again we look forward to seeing you all. Take care Peter & Sheila 😀

Lots of very well thought out small details, such as a shelf and lit mirror in the smallest bedroom so you\'re not struggling to do your makeup! En suites well appointed with good showers. Taxi into Jedburgh for dinner was less than a fiver. Half an hour from Tweedbank station for services direct to Edinburgh. I stayed overnight on my way north to Aberdeen, and wanted to re-visit the lovely historic town of Jedburgh. Hundalee House was a quiet and beautiful haven, with a comfortable bed, shower and bath, and an amazing dining room. Breakfast was great and the owner very friendly. The price was reasonable and I will definitely stay again when visiting Scotland. The autumn colours were fantastic as well!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was spotless and had great character. Comfortable bed. Very nice en-suite. Good Breakfast. Whilst not difficult to find, you will not make the hairpin bend off the main road from the south - go to town & turn round! Shell garage is on main road at north of town. Suggest refuel, then drive back to junction. You only add a mile or two.

A little hard to find initially but it was well worth the wait. A warm welcome from Sheila as she showed us to our room, and thankfully showed us the shorter staircase. The property is ideally situated just a mile or so out of Jedburgh and in a very peaceful setting. The bed was the most comfortable that I have ever slept in and the shower was a good size. Cooked breakfast in the morning was exactly as I\'d ordered and very delicious.

Quality and comfort -
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel part of the family by Sheila and little Lexie. We had chosen a four poster bedroom and were not disappointed. Although the shower-room was outside the actual bedroom, access to the entire area was totally private. The house and grounds are impressive and the hospitality superb. The breakfast was very comprehensive and served with quiet efficiency. The one and only adverse feature is the long driveway from the main road but that can be easily forgotten.

Stunning house and views -
A stunning house on a working farm with a very warm welcome from Shiela ,Peter and Lexi (the dog). The room was beautiful with gorgeous views over the fields where there are over 600 sheep and a resident peacock. The beds are very comfortable and all the furnishings of a high standard. You feel like landed gentry from the moment you arrive until you leave, nothing is too much trouble and breakfast is amazing with a wide choice on the menu including honey from their own bee hives. The gardens are beautiful and tranquil, it is an oasis of serenity and not far from Jedburgh. I would highly recommend Hundalee House to anyone the facilities provided exceed all expectations and the price is more than value for money. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

A very pleasant stay -
This is a lovely old house, very surprised to find a peacock patrolling the grounds. I can imagine it would be lovely relaxing in the garden on a warm summer evening. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The only negative for our room, though minor, was the bathroom. Although for our sole use and the only room situated at that side of the property with a private staircase leading to it, it was necessary to leave the bedroom to cross a small landing to the bathroom but bathrobes were provided for the purpose. Very friendly owners and a very enjoyable breakfast. Sorry we were only able to stay one night.

Definetely recommended -
Lovely owner. We had two rooms- both very nice and clean, every single detail worked out perfectly to make guest feeling like at home. All house has its own atmosphere. Delicious local breakfast. Area around very quiet and peaceful. Just remember to pay by cash- not specified that they take English notes only (not on Booking.com we used anyway). Apart from that everything is absolutely perfect.
Hi, it was lovely to meet you and your family on Saturday evening. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us, we try to do our best even if some people do not believe that. I do not know if Booking.com have been intouch with you to write a review but I would appreciate it if you made a point about the credit cards, I keep on to them they they will not make it clear to people and it is embarrassing for both me and the customer, we are not allowed to write our description they hold us to ransom over it which I feel is so unfair, they will not let me advertise as a B&B they want every one to think they are coming to a Hotel they think it is good for them but do not give a second thought about how I feel, as long as they get their commission they do not care how rude people are about me. Well that is my rant over, I hope your parents enjoy the rest of their holiday. I look forward to meeting you again if you are ever this way. Take Care Peter and Sheila

Although our stay at Hundalee was brief, the warm welcome and attention to detail in their house was amazing. The dining room for breakfast could not be faulted, it was a visual splendour. Wish we had more time to walk the gardens, maybe next time.
Thank you so much for your review, it is nice to know that I am doing something right, I look forward to seeing you again if you are ever this way. Take Care Sheila

Hundalee House -
The welcome and hospitality was a joy after a long drive and the upgrade to the four-poster was a most pleasant surprise. Set in a very quiet and peaceful location, approximately 500m from the main road. My room was spacious and not lacking in anything that I would expect. The breakfast was selected from a full menu the previous evening and when it was served next morning, could not have been better. I would definitely consider staying here again, should the opportunity arise. Many thanks

Hundalee house is a brilliant country home to spend a day or two recuperating, it has an authentic country feeling and as for the service - we couldn't have asked for anyone nicer than shiela the owner. Thanks again, Colm

Excellent stay -
This is an excellent location for a family with young children. The rooms are comfortable; the grounds are very tempting for the children to play in; Jedburgh is less than a five minute drive away and so you feel you are away from it all without actually being far away for shops / banks / eateries etc. The owner gave us some very helpful tips on what to do with the children as well.
Thank you so much for your kind review, it was lovely meeting you and your family, I look forward to seeing you all again in the future. Your watch has been posted today. Take Care Sheila

Great Stay -
Cant fault the room & service. Comfortable bed, lovely breakfast, free wifi, window that opened (important to a claustrophobic!), beautiful family home. If you want clinical no atmosphere accommodation stick to your big chains but if you want cosy, twee & character then this peaceful place in a lovely town is spot on.

There is a warm and friendly welcome from Sheila and Peter to an absolutely wonderful almost stately home with lovely gardens and a comfortable room. A very relaxed atmosphere in what is obviously a family home unlike many which are more like motels. We would if in the area make a point of staying here again.

Lovely house and friendly welcome. Beautiful grounds and quiet lane to walk the dogs. Room was well equipped and breakfast was whatever you requested. Only criticism was shower wasn't powerful enough for us. Good idea to sit all guests together for breakfast and meet different nationalities. Enjoyed our stay here.

Hundalee House -
What a beautiful B&B to stay in. Situated at the top of a country lane surrounded by wildlife and beautiful countryside and views and oh so quiet. You arrive at Hundalee House where a warm welcome awaits you from Sheila, Peter (her husband) and Lexy the dog. The house is wonderfully 'old' but 'new' and comfortable and nicely decorated. Sheila's breakfasts are excellent and nothing is 'too much trouble'. The bedroom and en suite were very comfortable and we loved the warm and welcoming residents lounge with the open fire. We so enjoyed our stay that we have warned Sheila that 'we will be back'.

A splendor to the eye -
Hundalee house is a warm, welcoming and fascinating location to stay. Our stay was for one night while enroute, the house has a fascinating history, and is adorned with many items of interest. Comfy four poster bed ensured a restful night sleep and price includes a very heart scottish breakfast deluvered in a grand dinng room. Within walking distance of Jedburgh, it is an ideal location for access to the lowlands and beyond. We would definetly recommend this guesthouse and the owner is extremely hospitable.

Hundalee House -
We arrived in torrential rain, to a beatiful home and were greeted warmly by the owner. This farmhouse is a gem, packed with antiques, which is grand and beatiful. The breakfast dining room overlooks fabulous gardens and guests are encouraged to wander around the farmland. We felt the home was well located as a stop over for us on our longer journey to the highlands of Scotland, and would recommend this place to others.
